Wubbo Ockels....Nederlands Astronaut.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Wubbo Ockels....Nederlands Astronaut....

Rating: 5.0

POET's NOTES:

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Dr. Wubbo Johannes Ockels (28 March 1946 - 18 May 2014)
was a Dutch physicist
and an astronaut of the European Space Agency (ESA) .

In 1985 he participated in a flight on the outer Space Shuttle Challenger, STS-61-A,
making him the first Dutch citizen in space.

WOW! What a perfect race!
Thank you so much, dear Wubbo and family
We submit and publish now Happy BirthDay!

Wubbo Ockels was born in Almelo, Netherlands,
but considered Groningen to be his hometown.

He obtained his MSc degree in physics and mathematics in 1973
and subsequently a PhD degree in the same subjects in 1978
from the University of Groningen.

His thesis was based on experimental work at the Nuclear-physics Accelerator Institute (KVI) in Groningen.

he was his time far ahead:
when no one spoke about
taking care of the earth
we must appreciate the sources of the earth,
since we must live on it,
sleep on it,
awake with it,
so use the resources not too greedy
...........what? ! ! Is this again another poem?
another sequel of Dr. Wubbo Ockels?
I dunno....

Thank you for reading,

Rising waves allow mind to feel the presence of Wubbo. We feel the beauty of expression of this poem which is greatly enhanced is nice manner. The first Dutchman, who went to space, accepted the challenge. The atmosphere Wuboo left was still breathing in memory as it is doing today. A great tribute is released with the best wishes on birthday. An excellent poem is very well penned.10 ***********
