Year Slipping Poem by M. Asim Nehal

Year Slipping

Rating: 5.0

It appears yesterday
When we welcomed year 2015
And now like crimsome sun
It is ready to set in history

So many remembrance it left
To ponder on
Happy moments, sorrow moments
Umpteen things to count.

New friends made
Few old lost
Wandering mind touched
New thoughts with delight

Poems we wrote liked
By many
Few of them created controversy
Yet we shared our feelings
Without holding back.

Kellyji enlighted with philosophical thoughs
Valsaji pitched her witty thoughts
Kumarmaniji showed us the nature's beauty
Sanjuktaji showed the way to love
Jawadji enlightened with mesmerizing feels
Sourenji touched the hot topics

Rajnishji s came with new ideas
All in all it was poetic feast.

A wonderful poem, Mohammed. The year raced by as they do, especially when one gets older. Retrospect can be enlightening. The good and the bad, taken in context, analyzed and learned from. I have certainly enjoyed my first year on this site and appreciate all the poets and friends I have come to know and love. May your new year be filled with health, peace and happiness!

It appears yesterday When we welcomed year 2015 /.....The year enters into the last week of its existence and we are at the threshold of 2016. The year which is going to become part of the history has been nicely summed up by you, Asim ji- our own contribution, howsoever small, to the corpus of literary wealth as well as other grand masters active in the field who have mesmerised with their unique style, language, narrative, philosophy, aesthetic touch and depth of knowledge and ingenious approach. The poets listed by you deserve the honour but Md. Asim Nehal too deserves a place in that list not only because of his prolific pace but also for his exceptionally beautiful and thought provoking poetry. Thanks, Asim ji. I am humbled and pleased to know that I also hold a place in your heart.
