You Aren't Here Now, A Hindi Love Poem By Deepti Mishra In English Translation
These are the same evenings, the same nights
But to accompany me in the evenings
And under the starry skies
You aren't here now.
The winds are the same, moving in same ways
They used to carry your fragrance, it's now missing
You aren't here now.
I am still in the same crowds
I look for you everywhere
But you are not to be found.
I have every thing in this world
But I could never get your love
You went away.
Whether the whole world is in sorrow
Or having good time, it is the same to me
Just looking at you, my sorrows used to go away
You are not here and my sorrows are deep
The world hasn't changed much since you went away
But every place I go, it looks desolate and still
You aren't here now.
Ye shamein wahi hai ye ratein wahi hai,
Per in shamo ka sathi in raton ki chandni, bus tu hi nahi hai.
Ye fizaein hai wahi, fizaon ka rukh bhi wahi hai
Per in fizaon me jo khushbu raha karti thi kabhi,
teri wo khushboo hi nahi hai.
Hai ab bhi wahi bheed mere irad girad
Per is bheed me jise dhoondhti hai meri nazre
ek bus wo tu hi nahi hai.
Mila hai sab kuch is duniya k bazar me,
Bus khareed sake jo hum teri dillagi nahi hai
Duniya ghum me rahe doobi ya manaye koi jasshan, hume ferk kya,
Jise dekh k hi her ghum mit jaye, ek teri hi khushi nahi hai
Tere jane se kuch is duniya me badla to nhi hai
Per sirf her jagah kuch gumshuda sa hai,
Ye kuch nahi bus Teri hi kami hai.
