You Can't Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

You Can't

Rating: 3.8

Among your sons, daughters
And wife your legal or illegal
Wealth you can share
But how can divide among them
The spring's soothing air

You can gift your houses and
Gold to your kins and friends
Before you go to die
But how can you make them happy
Gifting a piece of the sky

Can you divide the beauty of
A butterfly or colors of a flower
Among your many lovers
You can't take away the charms
Of birds and store in a safe
Place for your daughters

Whatever you have now will
Belong to someone after your
Timely or untimely death
Your power and wealth may
Make you proud but that can't
Buy you a whiff of breath
