You'Re One Of Them Poem by Manonton Dalan

You'Re One Of Them

a big fish struggling from hook
i saw her eyes rolled, breathe
gills expand, fins are tense
glassy eyes now inside cooler
with fin deep water so clear
she would be a good for dinner

look around, myriad of fishing poles
a kid complaining not catching fish
a mom busy with her cell phone, text
a man chasing blue crab from bucket
crab boat easing her way towards us
same faces but your face, i dream
