forgive me if I forget to love
if I forget to remember you when
the limitless sky begins to look
bright at the break of dawn

forgive me for not knowing
how to love you when you come
to get a kiss from me and sit
by me for hours in the garden

forgive me if I can't do
what you like me to do as
I can't read your heart and
in the game of love I am new

forgive me if my love is
as pure as the water of a
spring and you being a thirsty
traveler need it day and night
