You Will Be Missed Poem by ESPN CHICK

Seventeen seasons without a regret
You leave the field once and for all
Can't believe this day is actually here
Where you will hang up your cleats no longer needing to be worn

You leave with almost every record broken
Leaving all you had on the field
Every Sunday with all the pressure you still did your best
Without a shout of a doubt you will go down in history

You know you still can play but its taken a toll mentally
With a legacy as great as you
There will be no one who can ever take your spot
You will be dearly missed

Just never thought this day would come
You played injured and still did good no matter the cost
You left it all out on the field
Its been a great seventeen years but now you are ending football for good

Emotionally it hurts but you know thats the best thing to do
You've taken all you can take
But turning on football won't be the same
Not seeing number 4 on the field anymore

You will miss the game and the game will miss you too
Hanging up your cleats for good this time around
Your legacy will never be forgotten
Oh how we will miss all the great plays you made

A tribute to Brett Favre
Although he may never read it but still

This is my first ever sports poem so i hope i didn't do to bad.....but he was one of my fave players still is...and I'm a Cowboys fan....but love Favre just the energy he brought to the game...smiling in like negative degree weather...i mean wow...to me thats awesome and a passion person about his game not all about the money just about playing something you love and its a heartbreak to leave it
