Your Actions Teach Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Your Actions Teach

Your actions teach.
And influence the young.
Before they walk and talk.
And before their first teeth grow.
To allow them to eat.
What they are Fed to feed.

Your actions teach.
Whether accepted or not.
To set an example.
For the ones imitating,
With a watching and listening...
To every move you make.
And every word you say.

Your actions teach.
And hold you accountable.
Regardless of how,
Irresponsible you may be.
Your actions teach to leave,
Lessons learned by many young.
And those without minds,
To have used on their own.
Or know how that is done.

Your actions teach the ones,
Seeking your guidance.
Approval.
And acceptance!
