I was a young boy, acted deviously like I didn’t care
But he looked out for me, always standing there.
Everyone always told me what was wrong and what was right,
But I ran, and ran, and went to the dark side, away from the light.
My parents weren’t mad but disappointed in the decision I made,
I’m trying to reach the light that was there before, but it’s so dim, I felt the light fade.
I was suffocated in darkness, in the poison that had evolved,
I didn’t know what to do; in what way can this be resolved.
I walked into a sanctuary where light was brightest.
