Snow

Delicate, silent, gentle
She glides over everything she sees
Transforming the landscape

Her fingers stopping only long enough
To leave an icy fingerprint – which fades, then dies
Like she was never here at all

As a ghost, she steals into every corner
Unheard, yet seen and felt
Her frailty belies her strength
Her purity belies her power

A newborn baby
A lioness
