If I could start over, I would listen to the signs my conscience would tell me.
It doesn't take much, just listen close to the fights downstairs from your parents and decide if you should have a wife.
It's thoughts like these that keep me awake at night.
It's thoughts like these that make me feel as if I'm assigned to these lies.
I wake up every morning knowing my demise is disguised as a relationship I thought I needed.
So I pleaded, 'God, I don't want to be treated as if you're keeping secrets. Show me my purpose and I'll decide if a girl is worth it.'
