When I found out about my wretched curse,
All that I could do was hold back the tears.
Everything had seemed to turn for the worse,
Knowing that my eye sight would disappear.
My future is something I have to face,
With the knowledge that there is not a cure.
The hope that it will fade at a slow pace,
Is the only thing that keeps me secure.
Every day I wake up with this disease,
But I do not let it ruin my day.
'Cause living life with others sympathies,
Doesn't get you anywhere any way.
Though others with this may be in a bind,
I prosper in life ...
