I have enjoyed reading poems since I was a little girl, and I have enjoyed writing poetry since I was 10 or 11 years old. I first started to write poetry in the 5th grade, for a few assignments, and that was when I fell in love with it all. I have written quite a bit of poems, and like most poets I'm sure, like some of their works better than other ones that they have written. I am also like that. How Had This Happened?
How had this happened?
I thought we'd be together forever, but how I was sorely wrong.
You said you would never hurt me, but you have hurt me worse than anyone ever has.
I wish you could see how deep the pain runs through.
I wish you still loved me.
I wish, I wish you had never left.
Then things would still be the same for us.
You would still love me like before.
Why aren't wishes real?
Why can't they be?
Then that way I still wouldn't be in so much pain, even now that you're back.
All my dreams of us, they won't be coming true.
