I await the rains of some thousand storms; A symphony of violent tongues foretelling My future state. The unlocked gate beckons me to join The departed denizens from the world of light and air. Its gargoyle adorned facade grins in anticipation; And the victorious wails of a howling hound Meld into the strains of a metallic triumph As I enter Hades' realm. I travel hidden paths of the eldritch fields And bask in the moonshine smiles of the radiant Citizens of Elysium; Bestowing their welcome to my jaded spirit. I laugh and weep at the joy of heroes resurgent And hum the warm lullaby of death As Samantha's shade joins hands with mine, And we wander; Far away from the twilight of Earthly existence. Listening to fading echoes, from the cries and tears Of some thousand souls.
