Winter

He lifted me up
I shot him down
I trusted him
When I kissed him downtown
I try not to look
When he catches my eye
Until he said he was sorry
And started to cry
He put his hand on my cheek
As I studied his face
I saw where we left off
In his eyes full of grace
I knew he was thinking
We needed a fresh start
So I grabbed his hand
As happiness filled my heart
I new he was the one
When he held me tight
Our shadows beating down
From the cool Winter light
