Drug Grievance

You were my best friend for the last year
You kept me from shedding that first tear
You were my rock, my comfort zone
The one I knew I could always rely on
When I had you, I felt overwhelming fame
But when you were gone, I was full of shame
Relationships and careers were damaged
But I will not stop until they are salvaged
I have physically flushed you down the drain
Now, I will emotionally flush you and abstain
At the time, my voids were being fed
But Today, to Me, You are DEAD!
