Wide Open Prairie
Out in the land where the wild wind blows
And the fragrance of flowers fill the clean crisp air,
My mind drifts away, across the green grass
To where the land meets the beautiful, blue skies.
Frisky birds flying, full of life and song
Oh how I wish I were that skillful and free.
The tall weed waving so wonderfully free
Obeying nature's commands as the brisk wind blows.
The wind wafting the sound of the bird's song,
And the stirring sweet smells into the summer's air.
