Cry Of Distress
As I walked along a graveyard, I grew a little grim,
With thoughts of all the sorrows, with which newspapers brim,
And just when I believe, a tear rolled down my eye,
From somewhere inside the cemetery, I heard a dismal cry.
‘Oh, poor soul’ I guessed, ‘may GOD give him peace’,
‘And mend his broken heart, piece after piece’.
But the cry I heard again, this time a howl maybe,
And I decided to check on the man, to go inside and see.
Led by ear I found the man, fallen on his knees,
He was crying out his regrets, into the open breeze.
