The alarm bell rings before daylight
has pierced the bedroom’s dark.
He lies in bed, half-opened eyes,
imagining the shark.
His nemesis, of equal game,
will come to make his mark.
The warrior preps his battle gear,
he irons crease and cuff,
His silken armor hiding fear,
he knows it will be rough.
With stomach acid building fast,
he’s ready for the bluff.
Though the battleground is miles away,
he already feels the heat.
He smells the blood of battle prey
and feels them at his feet.
This mighty boardroom warrior
will not accept ...
