Autumn

Autumn heralds colours the like of which is hard to tell
Stripey leaves brown leaves just lying where they fell
Reds and yellows and orange leafs to name but a few
A dozen different kinds of green adorn the trees in veiw

Trees once with leafy dresses now naked and unbowed
Their coats of many colours have abandonded them for now
Still haughty in their nakedness but shy beyond compare
Standing by in silence planning new dresses for next year

The gallant Horse Chestnut about to dropp his conker fruit
He is also looking forward to his next year's brand new ...
