Lady Killer

I know where this comes from, where it would go
the same scary- sweet dreams- they frighten me so
they wait like invaders for me to sleep, to relax
for me to forget, to paint over grim facts

And when my eyes close, I can no longer hold them
is when they play 'RED LIGHT', creeping forward- I am frozen
These dreams wherein I am stabbed in arm or in heart
by javelin or finger-I can't tell them apart

from knives meant to kill me or a lover carressing
with vipers as hair, soon she has me confessing
my love for this monstrous, most deadly of women
who pours ...
