There was a man who was lost.
He had nowhere to turn.
No one to turn to.
Until one day God came to him.
...

Long lost love
How I yearn for thee.
Soft, sweet whispers
of loves ancient melody.
...

Memories haunt me from mistakes I've made.
I know not how to erase them from my mind.
Will the ghosts of the past forever control my soul?
Or will the echos fade and finally disappear with time?
...

Time goes by so swiftly
that we barely have time to stop
and notice all of life's beauty.
Seasons change as quickly
...

Sweet eternal lullaby
Lay me down gently
into the darkness that awaits.
Let your tempting kiss be not bitter
...

What consequence am I
in this vast world?
Do I even presume to think that
my existence matters?
...

A driver and his wife were on their way to the grocery store when a car
pulled out in front of them.
The driver's wife screamed, 'Look out! '
To which the driver replied, 'Calm down, Bud. I had it.'
...

Most precious child
How I love thee dearly.
Such a wondrous gift
God has bestowed upon me.
...

I sit and stare all around me
And wonder
Is this real?
If I take a breath
...

I cry,
I cringe,
I lose,
I fear,
...

Silence creeping all around
Not a word, peep, utter, or sound
Darkness closing in from behind
A flash
...

I'm so tired of drifting through life.
dragging my feet,
not knowing or caring which way I'm heading.
The world turns around me

Just Take My Hand

There was a man who was lost.
He had nowhere to turn.
No one to turn to.
Until one day God came to him.
'Come, ' God said to him.
'Take my hand and I will show you the way.'
The man hesitated.
'Who are you? ' the man asked suspiciously.
'You do not know me.'
God smiled and answered,
'You are the candle and I am the flame.
Take my hand and I will make you shine as bright
as the brightest star in the heavens.'
Still the man hesitated.
'Will you bring me riches? ' the man asked.
'I will bring you salvation, ' God replied.
'Will you give me fame? ' the man demanded to know.
'I will give you eternity, ' God offered.
'Just take my hand and I will show you all the glories
of heaven and all the joys of forever.'
God extended his hand.
'Just take my hand and I will show you a love greater than any
you shall ever know.'
The man stared at God's hand and shook his head.
'Your way is not for me, ' he told God as he
turned and walked away.
For the man was a coward and prized
gold and the flesh and worldly things.
God lowered his hand and sadly watched the man start
down the wrong path.
As the man walked away he heard God utter two words that
haunted him throughout his entire life.
'Damn fool.'
