I don't come holding a silver plate
piled high with off-white sin.
I want no incense or collared priest
to absolve or sentence me.

I grasp amnesia's knot. Veins

demons, saints, angels, whores.
Eucharistic parts suffocate,
fearing judgment, punishment.
