Tangled lives
Tangled webs
Different lives
Many wept

Why is it that our culture are worlds apart.
I have life easy, they have it hard.
While i sleep on a bed, they sleep on grass.
I take my allowance, but they beg or fast

Thankful I’m alive
Living, though in strive
Nervous yet confident
Made very evident

Is there even anything that’s real?
From the rising of the sun to the ceasing of a gale
The different strokes of a pencil mark a man
The different tones of a pencil can change the bend

The world today is a dreadful place
Filled with gangs and kills and vice
To live a day with joy and peace
Is to eat and sleep and live like mice

I am afraid of the millions of ways
For a man to die
In the millions of days
I am afraid of the sea of people

My birthday wishes
Don’t wash the dishes
Get my presents
Friends all present

Why is it that regret comes only after tragedy has befell?
Why cant we turn back the clock?
How i wish that now, all is well.
Perhaps see light in this fog.

I laugh when someone thinks of the future.
At times I ask, is there a future?
For I see none.
In this world.

I asked the heavens
Why I was born
To this world of injustice
Destruction and scorn

Red. The colour of love, anger and me.
Red is life. Blood.
Alone I spent my last breath.
Alone in red

For the girl I wish to protect
Has left in a state that I can’t react
For my life was for her and only her
But now her face I can vaguely remember

Sadness in sadness
Faces to faces
I lose my reality
From high to no sanity

With love comes rejection
With joy there will be pain
With death comes separation
And prayers will bring rain

Obsessed with the living, the dying, the dead
For that will soon be, my future state
What should I do, now that I’m alive?
What should I do in the remaining of life?

My first step in life
When I was small and unprepared
I walked gradually into this world of greed

Needless to say
I’m in dismay
Lost on my way
To find a new day

As I stare into blank empty space
Looking again at the teachers boring face
Her words enter and leave
Never heard, never received

I’ve fallen time and time again
The things I’ve lost, never to regain
My hands bled
My tears poured

The taste of home
Like a cylindrical stone
Trapped and enclosed
Never ending never free

Invisible Strings

Tangled lives
Tangled webs
Different lives
Many wept
Many smiled
The impact dealt
To the affected
And the indebted
Every action would cause a reaction
Every movement
Mans short to anger span
Leads to the death of man
And mans ego, pride
Reveals his evil side
Nature is linked to the beginning and the end
Nature is linked to the gods and to all man
An action today can cause an improvement tomorrow
But yet again, it could cost this broken world, with sorrow
Play at the strings
The different bells ring
Nature will sing
Everything linked
What will you bring?
At the end, at the brink
Of death, the reaper grim
To you he will ‘wink’
Burn the string
The end is near
Our hearts on fire
Burn, burn
Bright immense light
Kill, destroy
Apocalypse boil
Erupt with fire
A burning desire
Melt ‘this invisible strings’
And perish at the seams
