Place Where I Belong
I glanced at the magnificent beast before me.
Frozen in fear and awe,
At sight of the majestic lion before thee.
Gentle as a fawn,
Proud as a knight.
Until your opponent has fallen,
Thou will never give up a fight.
Slowly walking toward me,
He nuzzles his head against my tee.
Leading me away from the place I know,
Into a place unknown.
Surrounded by grass, trees, and the intense heat is the Safari.
Amazed am I as I glance about me.
Loins and cubs all around.
