The Brownie Roundabout

The strange human mind is a cliff face of knowledge,

A smoky, dark cave or a dusty, old ledge...
Depending on how you look at it.
Our memories are crumbles of time as we know it.
The imprints of choices, tattoos of regret.

If I was to plunge to the depths of my childhood,
I know I would find there, a book full of thoughts...
If you believe in such a thing.
And there I would read the events and the stories
Of when I was younger and when I was small.

I’ll tell you the tale of a day I remember,
Of laughter and happiness, pain and cold tears...
