Mignon Isaacs Bryant grew up with her three siblings as a sheltered and solemn homeschooler in Austin, Texas. Her parents divorced when she was 14, and she and her siblings moved with her mother to Houston, Texas, when she was 16.
Mignon has been very fortunate all her life. She has a loving family, absolutely wonderful friends, and a passion for life, but she frequently goes into depressive spells in which poetry is one of her only comforts.
She hardly ever shares her poetry, because she writes it for her own benefit, and she doesn't generally think it good enough for many people to read. But please read, and please leave comments if you've comments to give!

A Valentine

Why must it be that all this has been writ? Why must I fall the last one in the line? I have no brains, or plays, or scores, or wit, That have not found their place elsewhere in time.

A Blessing

Be brave, and step lightly in things you don't know, Your courage will clear what you see. Believe in yourself, and give without doubt, And love what you've learned how to be.

A Sonnet

With all my heart, your praises I will sing, Cry to the world the wonder of your note! And hope that all my prayers and praises bring The love of you, upon whom I must dote.
