Cold

Searching for the one I love,
In my escape I find him.
Miles from home I live with him,
He’s the one I love.
Months go by,
He’s not who I fell in love with.
His heart has gone so cold,
Icy to the touch.
So cold it gives me frost bite,
How can someone be so cold.
Yet I still love him,
More than anything.
He is the King of the icey land that has become his heart,
Yet at his side I stay.
Day by day becoming his ice Queen,
Watching my heart freeze up from the warm fire it use to be.
