Lives a hermit - part time.
I pull him out and make him go,
'Though I have to pull his toe.
In the winter, he hides and holds me
Down, down, down to the ground.
He won't let me out, though I shout,
And say, 'I want to be free.'
The hermit within wants to stay in,
But in the spring he will not often win.
For the social girl I am, loves the spring
And during summer, expects everything.
So I put the hermit away so I can go play
And love the summer and it's happy day.
So then sleeps the hermit who pulls me ...
