Once, I wandered back in time
To thoughts I held when a child of nine,
I asked the genie of my mind,
Where do I go, what heights to climb?
Destiny will rule, my genie proposed,
'When your sea is a garden, your ship a rose,
For life will choose when you impose
To sail only waters where sunlight flows.'
O Genie, in thee, I do confide
How could I guess the sun would hide
Beyond the rivers, past a rainbow ride,
What life did offer, I blindly shied.
