There are different paths our lives will take,
‘To each his own’ the saying goes.
And on these paths some hearts may break,
Succumbing to the impact of our woes.
But other times these hearts may soar,
With elation and joy, how high they’ll fly!
As opportunity may open the door,
To the splendor love—a cloudless sky.
Still, some hearts may become enraged,
At the injustice this world can sometimes hold.
As senseless wars continue to be waged,
And the young and innocent too quickly become old.
There are times when a heart may be consumed with fear,
Of this sadness, anger, love, and strife.
But to this heart, worry not my dear,
As these are all the contents of the brilliance that is life.
We are going to tell them how they must live,
How little they can take and how much they must give.
And for their compliance what shall they get?
