Give Me A Dream

Give me a dream tonight
that I will remember till I die.
A dream that births passion.

Put Me in the midst
of a river wild, in waters
that ooze rhythm and song.

Angels float the white
dusted ripples thrown by
rock and broken by land.

Trees defend the
honor of the river run,
lining the course,

tightening the soil,
preventing a swift cut,
from the narrow path.

I drink the air and feel
the substance of the Word
race through my soul.

Send me this dream
so I will never forget
my First Love.
