Into The Darkness
I just turn my body back.
I just turn my body backward.
I’m in the fog of a dizzying serenity.
The thickness of the night melted onto my pores.
I’m here. God, I’m here.
There will be fire in my throat.
There will be a blanket on my chest.
There will be something ridiculous on TV.
A bollywood movie lasting 3 hours or so.
I can’t turn to go. I can’t leave.
Every moment is a one-way corridor.
Dropping me off in a strange new room.
The wind and gravity force me away.
I go down to start another drilling day.
