On the knees of Wise the Fallen Magnolia,
I dream in his green eyes.
His mellow whisper endlessly telling me
That the water underneath me can tell
When my mother fell in the river in her childhood,
That the wind surrounds me can tell
Which fire my grandfather had survived through,
That he has seen many other men
With the voice and the eyes of mine.
