COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The theme of the poem written by South African poetess Adiela Akoo is amazing as well as your transcreation. It was time one day the chairs around the tables were full persons with smiles but now chairs are empty. I cite... Nice, thank you both.

Hi Kostas Lagos, Thank you for your interest in my Odia poem and curiosity about its script. Odia Lipi or script is called 'Brahmi' script. Hindi, Sanskrit and many Indian languages are written in 'Devanagari ' script. In Odia, the letters are round and do not have any 'bar' sign on them like Devnagari letters.

Devanagari script is really beautiful. These letters are like they're having a life of their own...

Hi Kostas Lagos, Thanks for your interest about my language 'Odia '. The Odia script is called 'Brahmi' script. It is different from Devnagari script. In Devnagari script, the letters have a line on the top whereas in Brahmi script, the letters are round and no line on their top. Many Indian languages like Sanskrit, Hindi, Bengali, Gujrati are written in Devnagari script.
