[03] House Lizards Poem by Ashraful Musaddeq

[03] House Lizards

Rating: 4.8

Two house lizards— hugging
Under florescent lamp
Making love— love stops at lust

Lust is the last station— get down
East-west-north-south beckoning
Let's move— but where is home

Homeless soul— run and run
Floating imagination poetic cool
Summer follows— to blaze

Like house lizards— confined
Within love-lust boundary
Fortune burns life effectively

Ashraful, This is such a lovely poem, and to think you wrote it about something so simple as lizards. My poem surrender is like that, i wrote it sitting on the beach in galveston. i was just over come with the surise and the poem was one that almost wrote itself. your friend in poetry Barbie

This is surely a deep and meaningful poem. Being an observer as you are, your imagination has taken us to your profound conclusion. Thank you Ashraful! 10 Karin Anderson
