i saw a man sitting by the corner
covered with poncho on winter morn
on stocks of dirty newspaper and rugs
could this man has somebody who loves
him or any caring soul that drifted away
from him, did they ever wonder why
oh! cruel world of mine, how many more
of this solitary man roaming this planet
after that i couldn't muster my strength
whining for every little things happening
i am so grateful i have roof over my head
and a soft bed to lie down after the sun sets
i have realized that i am a lucky one with mind
even with lots of trials i went through, so glad
but i couldn't make me a good smile, too early
something i learned, i have to be understanding
lots of reminders that i will not go astray nor forgetful
for this land is beautiful, to live on it is wonderful

Its good to be grateful to have been able to come through test of times and empathise with those who are going through it too. Thoughtful and reflective poem.
