031410 I Fall Asleep Poem by Manonton Dalan

it looks like rain is not stopping soon
i slide curtain to take a look, pouring
i went to every room of the house to
make sure there's no leak from roof
check every windows and doors
my carpenter must be good man

i turn on the tv for weather forecast
there were flooding already on low
lying areas but there's no evacuation
i feel sleepy now but i have to wait
for another hour for weather update
i was sitting on sofa and i fall asleep

it was so quiet not even a half a dream
no drumbeats or excitements or scream
i must have been out for hours and hours
when i wake up i have my blanket on wrap
it is dark i have to find the switch for light
but god help my soul, we have brown out
