068. When I Was An Elephant Poem by Jaden Knight

068. When I Was An Elephant

Rating: 5.0

When I was an elephant
I made a football with my trunk
the arm let out a violent sneeze
and so created a ball of cheese

And then came walking the ears of dogs
building turkeys from metal logs
one became a talking house
and there sat knitting was an old grey mouse

The needles produced a cat polishing its eye
one and twenty horses baking a pie
from the top there rose a car
with a shiny golf ball
covered in tar
and from the crust there came a tree
planted by a bumble bee

The sting of its leg fell from its nose
planting in a chin a purple rose
the petals were eaten while the stem
was scrubbed with brass to make a gem
the leaves got pickled with yellow meat
mixed with oil to make it sweet

And out of the mixture came a snake
eating lemons with a rake
and from a tongue it got the rind
of course it had left its behind
in a sea horse made from bread
which eats its leg to make a bed

And through your ears you can see
that none of this could ever be
but nothing is as it would seem
and with your feet you share your dreams

i guess i need to follow Alesia's lead (see below) to try and make sense out of this. BUT, what fun would THAT be? ? ! Profanisaurus, you have many talents in the field of poetry. this kind of poem is one of them. very nice. [and (coincidentally) it really ALL makes sense to ME! ] have a craze as day! what have you been up to? Mary-aka-Bri :) :)
