A Baby Baptized - Poem by Allen Brodell

Love and smiles
joy and happiness
family and friends
children and adults
celebrating together
a baptism of a baby

Baby in white linen
not understanding
the symbolism
of the baptism

Preacher baptizes the baby
in the Name of
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

May God be with you always?
to protect you, to guide you
to prepare you for
the long road of your life?

May God always be in your heart?
