A Beating Soul Poem by Dave Alan Walker

A Beating Soul

Rating: 4.6

As I lie in bed
watching the curtains
blow in and out like
a beating heart
I decide to get up
and close the window

As I get closer
my blood runs cold
and my heart beats faster

The window is already closed

I had to return and read this one again! All I can say is: BRAVO! I love the brevity, the soul, and the Mystery you've so masterfully presented here... amazing.

An eerie experience! Through the bizarre movement of the curtain, an extra terrestrial feel is powerfully imparted! Enjoyed!

This is a frightening administration when applied to the world itself. Very good indeed.
