A Broken Promise Poem by Sandra Feldman

A Broken Promise

Rating: 5.0

A promise,
In a poem
Once was:
Never, to leave me,
To be left,
Without you
In the emptiness
Of the Past.
But promise, not kept!
Life, Death, Destiny
Was stronger
Than the two of us,
Now,
Missing you always
With the tears
Of remembrance
All over my heart
Being now,
The only thing
I've got to hold on to
Which really hurts, a lot.

A broken vow that leads to separation makes hearts bleed, tears flow like a river, crushing the spirits......10++++

A poignant yet beautiful poem. A promise not kept sometimes tear.us apart. Yet, how can we fight destiny and death or life itself? A wonderful and touching poem. Beautifully crafted.
