A Childlike Faith
Beautiful Manilyn
Is my spinster cousin.
She always tells everyone
She will go to heaven:
A wonderful place
Of eternal joy.
Everyday she visits
The House of the Lord.
And convinces everybody
To join her strongly held belief.
She gives her life
For her faith.
When she reached
The milestone birthday of fifty,
Life turned her upside down.
She did not know what to do,
Just accepted her fate
And followed the flow of life.
When she reached
Another milestone birthday,
Her faith has rewarded her;
A life that has
A sense of purpose,
Fulfillment and significance.
