A tattered coolie who was born in a leap year that comes home after a strenuous day's work?
He loves his coquetry daughter.
Her mother has disappeared when she was an infant.
He thinks that he has to make a cordon to protect her from the ruffian the apothecary's son.
His wife eloped through this rickety fence and he is scared of his precious daughter's future.
He dreams one day his daughter goes right of the passage with rituals.
But who knows and how long this skeleton survives with his sing-song?
This is another brilliant slice of life from you my friend; a definate fable poem but we are left to find the moral ourselve beautifuly written in the language that you have a personal ownership claim on.
Nimal, Your use of the language is unique and very beautiful. There is a singsong quality to it that I have not quite seen anywhere else. You bring a delightfully colorful qulaity to the ordinary aspects of daily life. Well done, my friend. Don
A well scriptyed piece Nimal....I like the Language you utelize, as well as the even-flow structure..''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''FJR

Another fascinating parable, Nimal from your fertile imagination. Love the title and the word gossamer to describe the daughter. I'm producing The Willow Pattern Plate at the moment. In that story, the emperor builds a wall around the palace to stop his daughter eloping with the gardener. Unfortunately for the emperor, his wall doesn't stop the pair eloping. But that's another story... love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Another fascinating story written from your own unique perspective on life. Take care, Nimal. Kind regards, Sandra
