'How many times
did you chant my name
While you were going round? '
Lord Vishnu asked the Sage.
Taken aback, the Sage had
nothing to say, but
'Not even once, true,
But the task was also yours.
'I was so engrossed
In completing the task
Successfully, that never did I
Remember to chant your name.'
The Lord's face lit up with a smile
'So was the farmer,
His tasks are also
Entrusted by me.
'He does sincerely and selflessly
Remember to pray to me
Despite performing his duties.
How does it matter how many times? '
I can't agree more.By sincerely and selflessly doing our duty, we serve the mankind.
Selfless devotion to one's duty is the most valuable worship
