A Foolish Old King A Young Lustful Wife Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Foolish Old King A Young Lustful Wife

Rating: 3.0

a king is supposed to rule wise and well
how many were like King Lear none can tell
but of an aging King with a head of lead
hair all grey not wise it is better less said

of course the old fool did take a young wife
then wondered why his life was full of strife
he assigned a handsome pageboy with hair of gold
to look after his wife a woe tale shall now be told

the pageboy bore silks that trailed behind his queen with joy
thoughts free lust full in one so young soon she was his toy
love of honey is an ancient singing it rings true it rings sweet

but death rules disloyal love that runs too deep in sad defeat
a young wife a queen a handsome pageboy with hair spun gold
both had to die for love's misdeeds loving lusts so freely sold

Sad...and that's why in a relationship it is advisable not to put each other on test but be careful to play your role well. Never create a cravings but meet each other's need. A good reminder. Thanks.
