A Good Resolution, Finally Poem by Sandra Feldman

A Good Resolution, Finally

Rating: 5.0

I will stay,
Silently
In my corner,
Like little
Jack Horner
But I won't
Be eating, pie.
I'll be watching life
Go by,
I'm tired, and I'm beaten
I have finally accepted
Loneliness,
And I promise, I won't cry
(tiny whimper)
Or least, I'll try,
Not to cry......

Slightly humorous in its sadness, it’s a clever little poem, Sandra. Acceptance is a better place to be than constant yearning and burning for the unattainable. But then, there are other pies, and not only in the sky!

A profound resolution! A poet should accept everything in his/her great poetic heart! Extremely well penned...10
