A Government Corrupted Poem by Laquory Jones

A Government Corrupted

Rating: 4.5

My spoken words are buried deep within the roots
As they spilleth truth rest in peace Alexis, Rudy and DQ
I haven't forgotten about anyone as my days passes
Faster than the setting suns at night you can see me
Barely sleeping forever weeping but I swear I never
Forgot what you all have taught me to live in the moment
Through the pain that Life sometimes had brought me
While Looking at the news I remain disgusted but I
Have to muster up the energy to make a difference
I have to remain diligent as I become more vigilant

So many things that I couldn't comprehend I guess
Politics stood for no common sense just hurt people
That needs the aid as more of the Elite gets paid stating
Whose Harvey? A Hurricane? As they looked away in vain
But you are entitled to all the opinions that you want
I wouldn't have ever envision that a day would ever come
Where we are again divided as emotions collided with
Inner passion inside them but no love with-in them
Only pure hatred Media controlling the minds
Of the Public (Nothing is ever Public)
The constitution is no longer relevant

People rioting through out the streets
As the Gov't tells us to accept defeat
Society will always be beaten or in some
Cases shot with blood only filling up this melting pot
Tell me 'Will it ever stop? as more bodies drops
10 people peering from over their window sills
Five people shot as the Gov't shoots at will
Numbness is the only thing that people feels
(Now Richie Hush, Now be for Real)

This is a poem emotionally written on honesty and revolution with nice penmanship.
