A Humble Elegy For Dan Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

A Humble Elegy For Dan

A Humble Elegy For Dan

dear Dan
you oft ran as you can
till you outburst
in the worst

you're most appreciated
by us,
the highest plus:
our visits we always updated,
but the death constantly peeps on you
we'd love to go last year
everything was ready

dear Dan,
you're oft such a tough man
we all went fishing for crabs
that was the last time perhaps
being together with thee
along the pacific ocean sea

our deepest grief we send
along with this sad lament
you had a too big heart
that was not so smart
to let that burst the whole part

dear Dan,
we have to be accustomed
your sudden death so clear

we bear together with your loved family
this sudden occurrence
in deep reverence

go tell our Lord
you are now with Him aboard

my humble elegy for you
do not forget, we're always fond of you!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Daniel was a very close friend of us, he is the youngest amongst us but died as the first, he IS also still young, we had not expected that he would die, he had a great heart, the cause of his death? Heart failure.. Thank you for your uplifting words and great support in these sad moments. Our sad thoughts go to his beloved wife too. For her is his death truly a greatest shock
