A Long Walk - Poem by Monique Tucker

As I stroll along the shore I think of you
The times we shared, the moments of joy and comfort
The scent of your hair, the feel of your tender touch
The love we share will never be erased
Though you are so far away these memories keep you near
Having someone like you who cares so much for me
I cannot be more thankful for you are part of my life
The person that brought me into this world
The woman that loves and cares for me
I am blessed to have you in my life
I am blessed to have you as my mother
